Popular indie-pop artist Faye Webster enchanted fans at the Anthem DC this past July. With a Minion to help open the show with it’s own rendition of “But Not Kiss,” she appeared on stage a few moments later, officially launching into the song. Donning her guitar for most of the night, she and her band mates charmed the crowd with tracks like “Thinking About You”, “Better Distractions,” and “Tttttime.”
Set against a backdrop that looked like a dreamland version of a laundromat, bubbles floated around the stage as the soft lighting continued to change to match the vibe of each song. Fans enthusiastically sang along , swaying together and leaning on each other in happiness throughout the set.
She closed out a wonderfully cathartic performance with a short encore of “Feeling Good Today,” and viral Tik Tok hit, “Kingston,” leaving fans in euphoria and anticipating her Lollapalooza performance next!
